Hachette Aotearoa NZ, Smith & Caughey, Sarah Greig and I are all thrilled to share with you that 'The Fairies' Night Before Christmas' has been brought to life with amazing animated puppets for the Smith & Caughey christmas window display for 2021.
Seven Sharp interviewed us for the fairies' television debut. You can view the clip here. Children and their families can visit the windows while observing safe social distancing practices and from next week Auckland shops may open under level 3, step 2. And who knows, they might switch to the traffic light system any day now as they close in on the target of 90% double vaccinated rate. There were so many people involved in bringing this festive project to fruition and I know I can speak for us all when I say we whole-heartedly hope this brings some festive seasonal cheer to the hearts of Auckland's children, and to the young at heart. There was a big rush on the books after the show aired, selling out in some places but more stock is winging its way across the Tasman and should be back in shops next week. There are still copies available online at Smith & Caughey.
